How Do I Use DTF Transfers?

1. Prep the Garment

Lay the shirt flat on the heat press platen.
Lint-roll the print area to remove fibers and dust.
Pre-press for 10 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles. If still moist to the touch, repress.

2. Position the Transfer

Place the DTF transfer ink side down / film side up on the garment.
Center and align (use a T-square or ruler if needed).
Make sure the film is laying flat with no bubbles or folds.

3. Press the Transfer

Set your press to the recommended temp, time, and pressure
Common example: 290–315°F, 10–15 seconds, medium–firm pressure.
Close the press and run the full cycle (no early lifts).

4. Peel the Film

If any edges lift, lay the film back down and repress for a few more seconds.

5. Final Press (Recommended)

Place a parchment sheet, Teflon, or finishing sheet over the print.
Press again for 3-5 seconds to lock in the finish and improve hand feel.

6. Wash & Care (Tell Your Customer)

Turn garments inside out before washing.
Wash cold or warm, gentle cycle; avoid bleach and harsh chemicals.
Hang dry or tumble on low.

We recommend uploading print-ready files that already have the background removed and are high quality.

File types accepted are PNG, WEBP, JPG, SVG, PSD, AI/ESP, and PDF.
